  • Money matters - what is it

Last time we told you about our Money Matters funding for which the application window has recently closed. We'll be reviewing the applications in the coming weeks and are excited to see what kinds of projects have been proposed this time.

You also told us you'd like to know more about this including a full list of the projects we've funded.

Money Matters was set up in 2013 to add to the offering we already had for those who are financially vulnerable. The scheme offers funding for financial capability projects run by not for profit organisations within communities across our region and promotes preventative measures which help customers avoid getting into financial difficulty in the first place, with many of the projects providing guidance on budgeting and money management skills, often for groups who are at higher risk of falling into debt.

The full list of projects funded so far are in the link below and you'll see the variety of initiatives we've supported through this scheme. This information will soon be available to view in full on our Partnerhub and will also be updated with the projects we choose to fund this year.

As an annual round of funding, we'll continue to advertise when new application windows open via Partnerhub as well as Partnerhub Post, on the Wessex Water website and through the advice networks we're a part of so if you think this is something that could benefit your organisation, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming opportunities.
