We recently announced our new scheme to support those frontline workers in our NHS who now have to wash their uniforms more often at home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. For those who are on a meter, this will lead to an increase in their bill and we wanted to ensure they are not adversely affected through adhering to their duties.
Up to 15 May, our billing teams have received 8,856 NHS rebate applications from Wessex Water customers and a further 5,533 from Bristol Water customers. We've had some wonderful feedback from customers thanking us and telling us "It's wonderful a company is finding a different and impactful way of recognising NHS staff during these difficult times, one less thing for us all to think about. Thank you".
In order to complete the applications coming in, various departments worked together, acting quickly to ensure everyone had the access and training they needed to work collaboratively towards this fantastic incentive which has clearly supported our NHS customers during this challenging time. Big thanks to everyone involved in making this come to life so quickly and to anyone who helped us spread the message to those who were eligible - a great success!
