More than 50 stakeholders recently attended an event hosted in partnership with Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN).
The event, which took place at our operations centre in Claverton, was held to help raise awareness of both companies' priority services registers and highlight how we are working together to sign customers up in a simple and fast way.
Head of customer policy Kate Robbins said: "This was a great opportunity to tell potential partners all about what we can offer customers in vulnerable circumstances and the value it can bring to both their clients and their organisations."
Amongst the attendees were representatives from Wiltshire Council, Dorset Healthcare NHS Trust, Public Health England, British Red Cross, Virgin Care and many more.
Kate added: "Our customers are our priority, and we are committed to providing extra support to help when and where it is needed most.
"Through our partnership with SSEN we have already been able to make a difference to many customers in vulnerable circumstances, and we hope that this event will lead to partnerships with more local organisations to reach and better support those customers in our region who need us most."
What are Priority Services?
Priority Services provides tailored help for people who need it. For example, providing bills and information in alternative formats, a password scheme for visits and ensuring customers always have access to water during unplanned interruptions such as a burst.
If you're one of our customers and have particular requirements due to your age, ill health, a disability, mental illness or any other additional needs, you can register for Priority Services so that we can take this into account.
