We've simplified our WaterSure application process to reduce the effort of applying for support under medical grounds. The aim is to make it easier for customers to provide us information of medical conditions and apply for the scheme.
Below are a few changes we have made.
- We have enabled customers who are eligible under medical grounds to be able to self-declare a medical condition which leads to high water usage.
- We have changed the wording under the eligibility of the scheme to remove a list of medical conditions. We recognise that there are a vast number of medical reasons why a customer may use more water which may not be included in this list. The customer can now just advise of the condition.
- We are also piloting sign-ups over the phone to help make the application process as simple as possible.
